Thank you, Carter, for the excellent care provided my family during the loss of our wife and mother, Linda. The preneed planning you and I had done three years ago was set into motion in a highly satisfactory manner. I really believe the preneed planning significantly reduced our stress and worry in one of Life's most difficult times. You accurately anticipated our every need. Your advice and counsel was extremely valuable to us. We are most grateful. Bill MingleBill Mingle

Dear Jacqi & Carter, I want to thank you for all your help in preparing for and conducting the beautiful service to celebrate Harrison's life and homegoing. The extra touches of refreshments during the visitation and all the care you took with the flowers-cards and thank you notes were especially helpful. We so appreciate the very special care in providing the DVDs for me and the family - we will always cherish them. We will certainly recommend your service in the future. To Whom It May Concern: Although I have not had a lot experience planning funerals, I have been exposed enough to know exceptional service and effort. That is what we received from the Davis Family Funeral Home! From the prompt and respectful transport of our loved one from OKC to the gentle direction at the cemetery, Carter Davis and his staff were exceptional. The encouragement to express our love in casket selection, colors, flowers and the order of service for the funeral was genuine and heartfelt. The Davis Funeral Home will take care of all details if you ask and at a very reasonable price. Carter, his wife, mother and staff were available on a 24-hour basis to work with us on a tribute video, obituary and music selection and gave extraordinary effort to do it “our way”. The Davis Family Funeral Home is a new player in the Bartlesville area but are obviously seasoned veterans when it comes to attention to detail and focus on the family. I highly recommend the small-town, family-owned facilities, staff and service that this company provides. They made a difficult situation very manageable and, in many ways, a healing and comforting experience. Thanks Carter and family! Chuck Smith OMAG Plan Services DirectorFamily of Mrs Ruthalene Peters

Longtime Bartlesville resident opens Davis Family Funeral Home
BARTLESVILLE, OKLA. - Davis Family Funeral Home is a new business providing funeral services and merchandise in the Bartlesville-Dewey area, and it opened its doors Aug. 1. The full-service funeral home is locally owned and operated by Carter Davis, a professional funeral director with more than 18 years’ experience. Now a Bartlesville resident, Carter is the son of Gary and Brenda Davis of Dewey. The new business is located along Hwy. 75, at 113 South Osage in Dewey, in an extensively remodeled facility that combines a convenient public showroom with a private family suite.
The Davis Family Funeral Home’s mission is to provide “Exceptional Services for Remarkable People.” The simple phrase sums Carter’s vision to offer high quality funeral services and funeral merchandise that honors the individual’s unique life, meets the family’s needs, comforts the grieving, and brings together people in the community, yet remains affordable and accessible to everyone.
“Funerals are an opportunity for families to grieve their loss, comfort each other and begin the healing process,” said Carter. “We want Davis Family Funeral Home to be a trusted place of service for local families where they know they’re cared for, where people can properly evaluate what funeral services and options are available to them and what’s best for their situation, and where they’ll feel comfortable spending time during visitation and funerals. We began with that end result in mind, so we have deliberately created an accessible environment with a public showroom for easy browsing and a spacious family suite with a living room, dining area and kitchenette.”
The showroom is an "open concept" area where a range of caskets, urns and monuments are displayed with descriptions and prices clearly marked. To simplify the funeral planning and decision-making process, the Davis Family Funeral Home offers five standard funeral packages. Each package includes the customary services of the funeral home, a choice of caskets for that package, and a standard burial container. More information regarding the funeral packages as well as a General Price List can be found on the funeral home website, www.davisfamilyfuneralhome.com. In addition, Davis Family Funeral Home offers special order, premium caskets and customized funeral services to meet families’ additional needs.
Davis Family Funeral Home offers a full range of funeral services that includes pre-planning, personalized funerals, burials and cremations, sales of caskets and monuments, special event planning and memorial keepsakes. The funeral home will have a comprehensive website with online obituaries and product information and it also plans to offer “live” and recorded webcasts of funerals and tribute videos by request.
Carter was born in Tulsa, but grew up in Dewey, the eldest of four children of Gary and Brenda Davis. Carter inherited his heart for service from his parents – Gary was a minister in the Nazarene Church for 10 years and then a medical technologist at the Jane Phillips Medical Center (JPMC) for 28 years; Brenda is a registered nurse who worked at the JPMC hospital for about 10 years, then at Washington County Health Department for 18 years. Like him, Carter’s siblings have chosen careers of service to people: Grayson is a hotel manager, Jeremy is a pharmacist, and Summer is an elementary school music teacher.
After graduating from Dewey High School (Class of ’91) where he was active in marching band and choir, Carter attended University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in Edmond, Okla. UCO is just one of a handful of American universities with an accredited funeral service degree program and also where Carter met his future wife, Jacqueline, an international student from Singapore. Carter graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Funeral Science in December 1994, then served a one-year apprenticeship in Okemah, Okla., before moving toSingapore where he established its first specialized professional embalming service. Six years and two children later, Carter returned to the Bartlesville-Dewey area where he worked for other funeral homes for the next nine years.
Carter has been married for 15 years to Jacqueline Davis who works in HR communications at ConocoPhillips Bartlesville. Jacqueline has more than 18 years’ experience in communications, customer service and special events. She brings these customer-driven skills and professional experience to the Davis Family Funeral Home. Jacqueline worked as public relations director for OK Mozart Festival for two years, and both Jacqueline and Carter credit that experience with opening their eyes to the importance of being involved in the community and how positive efforts can pass on and grow, benefitting generations of people.
As a funeral business, Davis Family Funeral Home will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Scheduled office hours are weekdays 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. For more information, call 918-534-3030, view the website at www.davisfamilyfuneralhome.com or visit the funeral home at 113 S.
