Christopher Dallas Batten

Christopher Dallas Batten, 34, of Bartlesville, OK, died Wednesday in Bartlesville. He has gone on to his eternal home and heavenly music, but he will be missed on earth by his family and friends. Christopher was born the son of Tom Eugene Batten and Jenae Lynn Robinson on August 2, 1988, in Vancouver, Washington. At the age of four his family moved to Bartlesville where Christopher attended Bartlesville Public Schools. At age six he got his first guitar and instantly found his passion in life for writing and recording his own music. During his high school years, Christopher was a member of several local bands and loved to perform whenever he could. He was a talented beatboxer and could even make music with just his voice as his percussion instrument. Christopher’s greatest passion in life came just 10 years ago when his precious daughter Caidence was born. Daddy and daughter loved kicking the soccer ball around, going for walks or just being outside with each other. Recently Christopher served as the assistant coach of her soccer team and he really enjoyed spending that extra bit of time with his favorite girl - coaching her and not just watching her. Most recently he found Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, attending First Nazarene Church and playing guitar in the worship band. Christopher is survived by the love of his life Ashton Butterfield; daughter Caidence Nicole Batten; father Tom Batten; mother Jenae Robinson and fiancé Sean Tafoya; bonus dad Jeff Robinson; paternal grandparents Clois and Geneva Batten; maternal grandmother Shirley Haller; bonus grandparents Melvin and Charlotte Robinson; five siblings Heather, Megan, Brian, Jessica and Keisha; and a host of other family and friends. Christopher’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m., at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel, 918-333-7665, 4201 Nowata Rd, Bartlesville. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 10-8. Services will be held on Wednesday, at 10 a.m., at the Bartlesville First Church of the Nazarene. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel.
