Devin Wade Viles

Devin Wade Viles, 22, of Bartlesville, gained his angel wings on July 11, 2022. His time on earth ended way too soon, and now it is time to remember him and lay him to rest. Devin was born September 27, 1999, in Bartlesville, to Donald Wayne Viles and Marla Louise (Bryant) Walls. He attended Kane Elementary, Central Middle School, Bartlesville High School, and the Tulsa Boys Home, where he really excelled. Devin was a great kid; he was energetic and hyperactive. He always wanted to help and was so very friendly. Devin had a big heart and was thoughtful and caring. He loved his family and was definitely a momma’s boy. He loved to talk, especially with his mom. Marla remembers one time Devin was knocking on her door in the middle of the night, because a girl broke his heart. Marla misses those sweet conversations and will cherish the memories she has of them. Devin spent a lot of time hanging out with his siblings and cousins. He was protective of his siblings, especially Sandra, the youngest in the family. He enjoyed cars and racing, riding his bike, and spending time outdoors. He was such a jokester and prankster. He loved playing video games and watching “The Walking Dead.” Devin’s family and friends recall Devin performing and singing the song “Milkshake” and he put smiles on their faces with his signature moves. He was special to a lot of people. Devin is survived by his parents, Marla and Johnnie Walls, and Donald and Tara Viles; grandparents, Richard and Donna Sue Viles; siblings, Kaylynn Viles, Jacey Walls, Sandra Walls, and Chance Viles; stepsisters, Madison Campbell and Skyla Campbell; uncles, Rick Viles, Danny Snider, and Ronald Viles; and lots of cousins, extended family and caring friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth Bryant, Deborah McCarty, and “Granny” Mildred Thornbrugh. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel with Reverend Philip Norris officiating. Inurnment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery, where Devin will be laid to rest with his grandfather. Services are under the direction of Davis Family Funeral Home.
