Celebration of Life for Jeremy Michael Sherbon "Cowan" will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at East Cross United Methodist Church with Associate Pastor Chad Perceful officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home. Jeremy Michael Sherbon "Cowan" was born June 8, 1980 in Ponca City, OK. Jeremy graduated from Bartlesville High School in 1999, and continued his education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health in 2004. Since graduation Jeremy has worked in various positions including a health promotions position at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center. Jeremy is best remembered for his great personality and his contagious smile. He was kindhearted from early childhood until his last day. Jeremy was a good all around athlete, who was passionate about wrestling while competing in high school. He loved the outdoors. Jeremy wanted to pursue a life of helping others, which is why he chose a degree in Health Promotions. Even through all his struggles with addictions, Jeremy's goal in life was to reach out and help others. He is now at peace in the arms of Our Lord, free of pain and hurt. Jeremy is survived by his parents Tim and Cathy (Clegg) Cowan and sister, Kaci Cowan all of Bartlesville, grandmother Dot Cowan and grandmother Pauline Sherbon both of Ponca City, aunt Beth Hammil and husband J.D. of Frisco, TX, great-grandparents Beryl and Mel Harris of Pittsburg, KS, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends that loved him. Jeremy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ernie and Joyce Clegg and paternal grandfathers Ben Cowan and Jerry John Sherbon. Honorary Pall Bearers include his many friends that were like brothers and sisters to Jeremy. There are far too many to list. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Alpha 2 (nonprofit), 1608 North Main Street, PO Box 369, Tonkawa, OK 74653 or Second Chance Sober Living www.secondchancesoberliving.org. Both of these organizations loved and cared for Jeremy. The family would like to pay forward some of their kindness.
