Judith "Judy" Ann Keheley

Judith “Judy” Ann Keheley, 83, of Dewey, went to heaven on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Judy was born May 8, 1941, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to Carl and Reba (Corp) Patterson. She graduated from Picher High School in 1959 and married her high school sweetheart Donald Eugene Keheley on June 20, 1959, at her parents’ home in Picher. The couple moved to the Bartlesville and Dewey area in 1962. Judy was a wonderful homemaker and stayed home with their children until they were grown and in school. She then started working as a secretary for Dewey Public Schools, where she stayed until her retirement in 2001. She loved children and enjoyed watching many area children grow up through the years. Judy’s hobbies included cooking and baking. She loved hummingbirds and her flowers, especially her rose bushes and irises. She loved traveling and eating out. Donald and Judy made many trips to Branson, celebrating their wedding anniversaries there numerous times. Judy always had a good sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. She liked to sing and her family have fond memories of her singing, “Let the Sun Shine In” and “Hush Little Baby,” and her changing the words to “Momma’s going to buy you an apple pie.” Judy loved her church family. She and Donald attended the Dewey Church of Christ for more than 60 years and are very active members. Most of all, Judy loved her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She attended all their events and doted on them. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Donald Eugene Keheley; three daughters, Janet Keheley, Karen Rawlins and husband Greg, Debbie Kite and husband Kurtis; a sister, Donna Reeves and husband Bert; three brothers, Haroland Patterson and wife Doritt, Lawrence Patterson and wife Nancy, David Patterson and wife Carolyn; four grandchildren, Lance Kite and wife Taylor, Cody Kite and wife Megan, Blayne Rawlins, and Ethan Rawlins; four great-grandchildren, Jensyn Kite, Dakota Kite, Ella Kite, and Emily Kite; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Wendell Patterson. Judy’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2024, at Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel, 113 S. Osage Ave., Dewey, OK 74029, 918-534-3030. Come and go visitation will also be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. that same day. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Dewey Church of Christ with Mr. Chris Watts and Mr. Robert Hamm officiating. Interment will follow at Dewey Cemetery.
