Laken Oliver Bowline

Our Beloved Laken (AKA “Bean”) was born on June 16th, 2017 to Landon and Linsay Bowline in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Laken was in the loving arms of his mama, Linsay when they both tragically passed on January 12th, 2024 in Ramona, Oklahoma. Laken was the tender age of 6-1/2 years old. Laken was preceded in death by his mother, Linsay Bowline of Ramona, OK, a great grandmother, Nancy Shipley of Nowata, OK and a great grandmother, Jane George of Ramona, OK. Laken leaves his daddy, Landon Bowline of Oglesby, OK, his little brother, Layne Arthur of Oglesby, OK, his paternal grandparents, Papa Rick and Sherri (GiGi) Rust of Oglesby, OK, his material grandmother, Tracy George of Ramona, OK. Along with numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as other family members. All of which Laken loved and they loved in return. Laken not only cherished his mama and daddy and papa and GiGi, he also had a special bond with his great uncle Larry and great aunt Lisa (YaYa) Rhynerson of Owasso, OK. The hole from his loss is immeasurable to all. Laken was a little boy full of laughter and happiness. He loved sports and music, and was multi-talented in both regards. He was a little boy with BIG dreams and a true RockStar! Laken was in the first grade at Caney Valley, Ochelata, OK. He loved his classmates and playing sports so much. He put his whole heart into all the sports he played. He was always trying to improve his moves and speed and building up his muscles! He wanted “big coconuts” on his shoulders! He was an avid and talented young football player, basketball player, soccer player. He aspired to be a wrestler and a boxer, in addition to a famous guitar player, keyboardist, drummer and singer, when he grew up. Laken also loved to swim and mowing the yard with his Daddy and Papa Rick. He absolutely loved the “Rocky” movies and mimicking Rocky’s moves. He was a boy who found interest in so many activities. He always tried his best and made everything he did, fun. Oh, and he was also an iPad expert. Laken was full of compassion for others, at all times. He was loving and caring toward everyone he knew and met. He was a friend to all and a best friend to most. A boy of many talents and one who brought joy to everyone who knew him. Laken was always the happiest little boy. His sense of humor was far beyond his young years and he could make you laugh out loud at any given moment. He loved his little brother, Layne so very much. He knew right from wrong and was a wonderful example for his little brother. Laken looked up to his daddy and wanted to be just like him in every regard. He loved dressing like his Daddy and he was a miniature version of the best parts of both Linsay and Landon. He was extremely handsome and loved clothes and dressing “just right” and was very picky when it came to selecting what he wore. He loved being a “sharp” dresser! He also loved “role-playing” especially when playing with his Uncle Larry, from cowboys to wrestling (giving “beat downs”) to just playing music on the guitar or drums and singing. He brought endless hours of joy and laughter to so many. His hugs and “I love yous” were always the best and his timing was perfect for giving those out! He always knew when to give the perfect compliment. He was compassionate and caring to no end. Laken loved going to church and would sometimes go with YaYa and Larry to the Refuge in Owasso. He loved Pastor Scott at the Refuge and would often times get tickled to find him on YouTube giving his sermons. His mama, Linsay started taking him and his little brother to Ramona First Baptist a few months ago and Laken loved the children’s church there. He loved Jesus. He recently told his YaYa, he could not wait to see heaven and Jesus, so he would know what Jesus “really” looked like. He wanted a Lamborghini when he grew up and was going to go to college or get a really good job, he would say. The tragic passing of Laken Oliver has left a gaping hole in the hearts of every one who knew and loved him so dearly. We find comfort knowing he is in heaven, in the arms of Jesus, with no pain nor sorrow, only pure joy and happiness, with Jesus, his mama and great-grandmothers. And by God’s Grace, we will see him again. Laken’s pallbearers are, Rick Rust, Larry Rhynerson, Josh Barthomew, Logan Bowline, Chase Inman and Casey Cassity The impact Laken had on all who knew and loved him, will survive in our hearts forever. There is a Trust being set up at Arvest Owasso for Layne Arthur Bowline. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Ramona with Pastor Lynn Nikkel and Pastor Scott Carlson officiating.
