Mrs. Linda Joan Craycraft

Linda Joan Craycraft, 71, of Bartlesville, died Friday in Bartlesville. Linda was born the daughter of Emery and Margaret (Mounts) Pierce in Independence, KS, on February 26, 1943. At an early age, her family moved to Tulsa before settling in Bartlesville in 1955. Linda received her education in the Bartlesville Public Schools. She was united in marriage with Larry Richesin in 1960, and two children were born to this union. They moved to Colorado for a few years and then Linda returned to Bartlesville. She soon met Wayne Craycraft and they were married February 17, 1990, in Dewey and blended their two families together totaling six children. Linda worked as a cook in various area restaurants including Murphy’s Steak House, Copan Truck Stop and most recently Wezzes. She retired in 2005 due to health reasons. Linda loved horses and dogs. She was known for her love of gaming which included playing cards with family and friends. Linda watched her favorite black and white westerns, professional wrestling and anything to do with Elvis. She also was known for her cooking and only shared her personal secret recipes with a select few. Linda liked to give her kids a hard time in jest and was a very forgiving person. Her greatest passion in life were her grand and great grandchildren whom she spent countless hours with. She will be dearly missed by all she fed and nurtured over the years. Linda is survived by her husband Wayne Craycraft of the home; six children, LuAnna Bray of Oklahoma City, Larry Guy DeRay Richesin of Ventura, CA, David Wayne Craycraft and Beth of Dewey, Jeffery Dale Craycraft and Robin of Owasso, Melvin Lee Craycraft of Bartlesville and Terry Jo Craycraft of Ponca City; one sister LaDena Hastings of Bartlesville, nine grandchildren ,11 great grandchildren, several nieces, one nephew and one great nephew. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Nancy Buoy. Linda’s family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, on Monday, August 18, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at the Davis Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplin Mike Gregory officiating.
