Marcia Ann Munkirs

Marcia Ann Munkirs, age 76, peacefully passed away Sunday, January 19th, 2025, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Marcia was born August 15, 1948 to Wendell and Una Belle Lein in Gordon, Nebraska. Marcia loved growing up on her family farm in Gordon. She graduated from Gordon High School in 1967 and moved to Rapid City for business school. After finishing school, she moved to Kansas City to work for Phillips. Marcia then moved to Bartlesville with her job, where she went to a carwash and fell for a guy who drove a yellow Camaro, despite her father’s warning about men who drove yellow cars. Paul and Marcia married on January 22, 1971, and made their home of 54 years. She was blessed to stay home with her children before reentering the work force and working in banking for 25 years. Marcia had a deep love for God, her family, her church family and friends. Marcia’s joy was working with children, teaching Sunday school for many years. She especially loved working in children’s church and the puppet ministry. She had a gift for connecting with and ministering to those close to her and strangers alike. Marcia enjoyed traveling with her husband, including trips to Greece, Italy, Israel, Alaska, and many trips to Mexico. Her hobbies were many, including spoiling her grandkids, crocheting, sewing, walking, gardening, singing, going for drives, and enjoying sunsets. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Clarinda Belle Lein. She is survived by her husband Paul, three children, three brothers, and one sister: Paula Windgate and Joe of West Fork, Arkansas, Steven Munkirs of Bartlesville, Heidi Delap and Jay of Collinsville, Dale Lein and Kaye of Bartlesville, Neal Lein and Deanna of Casper WY, Kelvin Lein and Robin of Lincoln NE, Janeice Lynch and Troy of Newcastle, WY; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, plus many cherished nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2025, at Tuxedo Church of Bartlesville with Pastor Tony Wisdom officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Munkirs, Samuel Mamolo, Alex Vonica, Jay Delap, Anthony Lein, and William Lein.
