Nancy Ann Webb

Nancy Ann Webb, 66, of Dewey, died Friday in Bartlesville. Nancy was born the daughter of Ben and Myrtice Bell (Perry) Roberson on March 24, 1950, in Doddsville, MS. She was raised in Doddsville with five brothers and four sisters. Nancy was united in marriage with William B. Webb Jr. in 1967. Shortly after their wedding, they moved to Indianola, MS, within Sunflower County where both sons Stanley and Paul were born. In 1997 William and Nancy moved to Tulsa to be closer to their two sons. William preceded her in death in 2011 and she moved to Dewey to live with Stanley. Nancy loved her grandchildren and did whatever they wanted to do, she was never too tired to play with them. Her favorite expression was “Gall-lee” which reminded everyone of Gomer Pyle from the Andy Griffith Show. She was always busy and enjoyed word searches, coloring and cleaning her home. She could often be seen dancing or singing along to the radio even when she didn’t know the words. She loved to laugh and have fun. Her joyful spirit will be dearly missed. Nancy is survived by her two sons, Stanley Webb and Dolly of Dewey, and Paul Webb of Tulsa; two brothers, George and Barbara Roberson of Indianola, MS, Bell and Sandra Roberson of Carthage, TX; three sisters, Jeannie McDaniel of Carthage, TX, Fronie Holeman of Gary, TX, and Dot Oswalt of Brandon, MS. 12 grandchildren, Evalene Stephenson, Jeremy Webb, Andrea Stephenson, Amanda Thompson, Harold R. Workman, Katlin Workman, Jennifer Webb, Christopher Webb, Joseph Webb, Nathan Palmer, Kyla Webb and Hanna Webb; five great grandchildren, Emma Stephenson, Austin J. Thompson, Allan Thompson, Aiden Thompson, Alissa Thompson, Kayden Palmer and Jayden Palmer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at First Freewill Baptist Church in Dewey, with Rev. Everett Peace officiating. Interment will follow in the Ramona Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 10-8. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home.
