Patricia "Patty" Elma Wilson

Patty Wilson, age 69, of Chelsea, went to her heavenly reward on Monday, September 5, 2022. Patricia Elma Wilson was born January 24, 1953, in Chelsea, OK to Jessie Leon and Hester Lorene (Blair) Wilson. She received her education at Condry and Chelsea Public Schools, graduating in 1971 and continued her education at the Pryor Vo Tech some years later. Patty was employed for many years at Lowery’s Hardware store. She also worked as a cashier at several grocery stores, WalMart and the garment factory. Patty never married and had no children of her own. She could tell you (without hesitation) all the birthdays of her nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, AND great-great nieces & nephews. She never missed sending birthday cards or calling everyone even though they may had been a thousand miles away. Patty’s calling was helping others, whether it be at a church function or social. She loved quilting, making kids pillows and afghans for those in need or special events for family members birthdays, weddings, or church members. She enjoyed being in her sewing circle which she dearly loved. They called themselves STITCHEN SISTERS SEWING SEWCIAL. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie & Lorene Wilson, sister-in-law Sherry Lynn Wilson and a great nephew Laramie Clel Marvin. Patty is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law whom she loved dearly; Jerry & Sharon Wilson of Chelsea, Larry & Carol Wilson of Chelsea, Garry & Reba Wilson of Tulsa, Mike & Felicia Wilson of Bartlesville, and Bobby Wilson of Vancleave, MS and her adopted sister, cousin & best friend -- Marilyn Jones Wilson Gibson. She was blessed with numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews & nieces, great-great nephews & nieces, cousins, many friends, and other relatives. By the world’s standard she didn’t have much. But for those of us who were family, she was one of a kind and greatly cherished and will be missed by all that loved her. Patty's family will receive friends at the Bethel Holiness Church, 201 Oak Street, Chelsea, OK 74016 on Monday, September 12th from 5-8 p.m. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13th also at the Bethel Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the Chelsea Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel.
