Ruby Faye Ellis Ruby Faye Ellis, 71, of Dewey, joined her beloved husband, Patrick “Chuck” Ellis, in heaven on Sunday, June 4, 2023, less than 3 months after he passed away. Ruby was born December 14, 1951, in Copan, Oklahoma, to Kristopher and Mildred (Cummins) Tuttle. She grew up in Dewey, Oklahoma, and attended Dewey High School. In Ruby’s younger years right out of high school Ruby moved to Nevada to be near her brother Gene and his wife. She later returned home to Dewey and married her high school sweetheart, Ted Hitchcock. They married in the late 1960s and to this union their daughter, Jona Hitchcock, was born in 1970. Ted passed away in 1979. Ruby met the love of her life, Patrick “Chuck” Charles Ellis, in February 1984, and the couple fell head over heels in love. They married a short month later, on March 7, 1984, and were soulmates ever since then. The couple moved to Oak Park and then to Dewey. They loved being together all the time. Ruby and Chuck enjoyed traveling and having coffee with friends. They would sometimes climb in the car and take off, ending up wherever the road took them, whether it be Texas, Kansas, or Arkansas. Chuck went to heaven on March 23, 2023, leaving a gaping hole in Ruby’s and Jona’s hearts. Ruby loved to ride horses and shared that passion with her daughter. She adored animals and always had numerous fur babies. She also enjoyed going to the casino. One of her favorite pastimes was sitting on her front porch during thunderstorms. She is survived by her daughter, Jona Johnson and husband Cliffard; three adopted children, Ron Wohlford, Rick Wohlford and wife Pam, and Danielle Argo; two sisters, Delora Snook and Bonnie Bates; two brothers, John Tuttle and Dee Tuttle; Ruby’s lifelong best friend, Billy D. Crabtree; two grandchildren, Shane Johnson and Brandon Johnson, and an adopted grandchild, Lindsay Wohlford.
