Terri Lynn Bennett

Terri Lynn Bennett, 71, of Owasso, died Friday, May 17, 2024, in Owasso. Terri was born the daughter of Dewey Darrell and Betty Jean (Clevenger) Davidson on January 30, 1953, in Bartlesville. The family moved frequently during Terri’s childhood. Her first few years were in Wichita. When she was 5 years old, they moved to Caribou, Maine, for the next four years before landing in Bossier City, Louisiana, by way of short stops in Wichita and Bartlesville. Terri graduated from Bossier City High School in Louisiana with the class of 1971. Terri loved music, playing the clarinet, and socializing with her friends. In 1980 Terri married Vern Bennett and they made their home in Wichita until 1990 and then in Oklahoma. Two sons Ryan and Kyle completed their family. Terri loved animals. She worked twenty plus years for Claremore Regional Animal Care Center. Many said it was her beautiful, caring personality that kept them coming back to the office with their furry friends. She had a strong work ethic and was a good provider for her family. Terri enjoyed art, drawing and watercolors were her favorites. In her free time, she loved to watch cooking shows unless the Kansas City Chiefs were playing and she was in game mode. At family events she was more than happy to play board games and have fun with the grandkids or extended family. The grandkids got the best of her, and she was always thinking of them on her shopping trips. Family remembers Terri’s beautiful soul. She was always kind and smiling and everyone was welcomed and loved at her home. She will be dearly missed. Terri is survived by her sons, Ryan (Amy) Bennett, and Kyle (Adrienne Hale) Bennett; siblings, Debora (Roger) Wilson and Darryll (Patti) Davidson; cousins, Cindy Sears, Jan Sears, and Chris Alexander; grandchildren, Oakley, Lexi, and Vallin; and nieces and nephews, Aaron, Sarah, Garrett, Patrick, Taylor, Ashley and Stephen. She is preceded in death by her parents; and cousin, Steve Alexander. Services will be held on Tuesday, 2 p.m., at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel.
