Amanda Donnell

June 24, 1979 - March 22, 2019

With immense sadness, we announce the passing of Amanda Ann Donnell. At the very young age of 39, Amanda passed on Friday, March 22, 2019. Surrounded by her family, she left us while sleeping peacefully, taking the hand of her daddy, he led her through the gates of Heaven. Amanda was born June 24, 1979 to Clayton and Paula (Boyd) Donnell in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was raised in the Dewey area most of her life. She attended Dewey Public Schools and graduated in 1998. Amanda later put herself through Nursing School, becoming an LPN. She loved being a nurse, especially loved taking care of the elderly patients. Due to her long battle with Breast Cancer, her career as a nurse was cut short. Most of all she loved and adored her children, they were her world, Amanda began her “mommy” career in2001, when she brought Brooklyn into this world and in 2008, Cutter came along to complete her circle of life. Amanda loved her babies and no matter how sick or how bad her day was, made sure she still stayed involved in their everyday lives, whether it be sporting events, school activities or just watching Cutter ride his horse. She wanted nothing more for them to have a wonderful life. Although Amanda loved nursing, she also loved being home, spending precious time with her kids. Amanda, being the “Crazy Chicken Lady” she was, could spend hours outside watching and talking to her chickens. Amanda made friends everywhere she went with her big heart and wonderful personality. Amanda’s presence in our lives here on earth will be missed by all that knew her. When you think of Amanda, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short, and should be lived to the fullest. Amanda was preceded in death by her daddy, Clayton Donnell, Grandma and Grandpa Boyd, Grandma Spitzer and Nanna Pam (Smith). She left behind her beautiful children, Brooklyn Cole, Cutter Stevens, Brooklyn’ s boyfriend, Matthew (Swifty) Adams, a very close friend of the family, Aurora (Babygirl) Tatum, whom Amanda absolutely adored. Leaving behind, her Mom and Stepdad, Paula and Danny Blevins. Siblings: Tracey and Bill Powell, Clayton (Ceeder) and Roni Donnell, Patti Donnell Sills, and Danna Purdun. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Also leaving behind is, Richard Stevens and his family. Although they were no longer together they stayed in Amanda and the kids’ lives. Services will be at the Davis Funeral Home in Dewey, Oklahoma on Thursday, March 28 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family and friends from 6-8 p.m. in the Chapel. Amanda will be laid to rest in the Elcado Cemetery in Chatauqua, KS, on the Sand Hills Road. There will be a dinner following the service in Bowring, OK at the Calvary Community Church in the fellowship Hall, provided by the Church ladies, Teachers and friends of the Community.
