Barbara Ann O'Neal

November 18, 1938 - April 6, 2022

Barbara Ann O’Neal, 83, of Dewey, died Wednesday in Bartlesville. She was a woman of faith and love who will be dearly missed but rejoices forevermore with her Father in heaven. Barb was born the daughter of Albert and Hester (Rash) West on November 18, 1938, in Copan, OK. She was raised and graduated from Copan High School in 1956. While still in school she developed a passion for serving others and desired to enter the missions field. She went on to study at Tulsa Junior College. Barb was united in marriage with Don O’Neal and they had two children Mike and Terri. In 1968 she started her 32-year career with Phillips Petroleum Co., first as a key punch operator and then, a computer programmer. Barb cherished the many friends she made along the way. Barb loved the Lord and was called to serve in spreading the good news of eternal salvation. After studying diligently through Victory Christian Center in Tulsa, OK, Barb entered the mission field and served short assignments across the world, in Ireland, India, Panama and China. Her passion was studying the Bible and sharing her deep love for Christ her Savior with others. Back home, she was a Sunday School teacher and hosted small group Bible studies. Most recently she has been a member of City Church in Bartlesville and active in its missions outreach. Throughout it all, she was a prayer warrior who trusted God and prayed joyfully without ceasing. She enjoyed music especially – no surprise – gospel music. She had a funny bone and tried to find humor in most situations, including getting older. Barb loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Barb is survived by her children Mike (Carolyn Cundiff) O’Neal and Terri O’Neal; best and dearest friend Connie Blevins; grandchildren Joshua (Angie) Frias and Timothy Hadley; great grandchildren, Micah, Nevaeh, Shianne and Darius; and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Floyd West, Lewis West and Helen Rawding. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10-8 and Tuesday 9-1 at the Davis Family Funeral Home - Dewey Chapel, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, OK. Services will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Davis Family Funeral Home - Dewey Chapel, with Rev. Scott Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Dewey Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home - Dewey Chapel. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
