Gary William Jackson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gary William Jackson, 70, of Bartlesville, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in Bartlesville, OK. Gary was born September 18, 1951, in Minneapolis, MN, to William C. and Jean (Hoppenstedt) Jackson. Gary graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1969 and then earned his associate degree. After college Gary moved to Naperville, IL, where he lived with his only sister, Gail Griffith, and worked for Raybestos for a year, then moved on to Lion Photo where he was a developer. Gary moved back to Oklahoma and was employed with Chevron Phillips for more than 20 years. He retired as an operator technician working in the research center. Gary enjoyed playing his guitar and performing live for people at various Tulsa venues. He loved music, especially Rock ‘n Roll and the Blues. He enjoyed attending live concerts. He traveled back to Illinois to see Frank Zappa and he took his sister to a Led Zepplin concert. Gary and Gail have a special sibling relationship. They have constantly been a part of each other’s lives and have shared so many adventures together. They were both each other’s favorites. In addition to his sister, Gail, Gary is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, who are scattered around the country. He is preceded in death by his parents. No formal services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel.
