James Lowell Ham

James Lowell Ham passed from his earthly life into God’s hands on July 14, 2020. He was 92 and a longtime Bartlesville resident. Born in Inola, Oklahoma, to Richard and Ruby Ham, James was raised on a farm across the river from the Will Rogers Ranch. Early on in life, young James learned the value of hard work and loyalty, and he went on to work at National Zinc in Bartlesville for 42 years on crane and heavy equipment. In his down time, he enjoyed being a member of the Oak Radio Club. James loved everyone, and those who were fortunate to know him called him dad or brother. A dedicated family man and provider, James treasured his family above all else - he called his wife his world and his sons were always his babies. James is survived by his wife Violet of 56 years; two sons Jimmy Ham and girlfriend JoeAnn of San Diego, CA; Bob Ham of Lubbock, TX; a sister Josephine Bentley of Claremore, OK; uncles Tom and Howard; aunt Glana Alexander; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Violet and family want to say a BIG thank you to Rivercross Hospice and their special caring people who looked after James’s mind, body and spirit, and brought comfort to them all.
