Othoniel "Tony" Rios Gonzalez

Othoniel “Tony” Rios Gonzalez, 53, of Bartlesville died Monday in Bartlesville. Tony was born the son of Asael M. and Emma R. (Mendez) Gonzalez on June 29, 1961 in Mexico City, Mexico. The family immigrated to the United States when he was six years old settling in Los Angeles, Ca. Tony graduated from Belmont High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He served four years and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After his honorable discharge he studied telecommunications and was a service technician for many years. Tony meet Cruz at the Cristo Es La Respuesta Church his father pastored and they were united in marriage on October 30, 1993. In 2005 they moved to Bartlesville to be nearer Cruz’s family. Tony worked as a machinist at schluberger until his health forced him to retire earlier this year. Tony had many passions in life but his family was everything to him. He loved to work and was a good provider. He enjoyed cooking for the kids and taking them to the park to play the sports that interested them at the time. He was a good friend and made friends easily. Tony loved his country and was proud to serve in the Marine Corps, Ooh Rah! He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Tony is survived by his loving wife Cruz Garcia Gonzalez, parents Asael M. and Emma R. (Mendez) Gonzalez of Los Angeles, Ca, three children, Judith Garcia Gonzalez, John Heber Gonzalez and Jasmine Garcia Gonzalez all of Bartlesville, One brother Asael Gonzalez Jr of los Angeles, three sisters, Aracely Jovel of Los Angeles, Mayra Echeverria of Bakersfield, Ca and Lorina Zanudio of Dallas, Tx and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by one brother John Gonzalez. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015, at the First Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Jacob Molina officiating. Interment will follow in the White Rose Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the James H. Teel American Legion Post 105 Honor Guard.
