Patricia Ann Turner Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Patricia Ann “Pat” Turner, 88, of Dewey, died peacefully at 12:35 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2022 in her home with family and friends. Pat was born November 12, 1933, in Wann, OK to parents Curtis J. and Dora F. (Underdown) Collier. She studied nursing at the renowned Loma Linda School of Nursing in California. She married L. Vaughn Turner on December 31, 1958, and they raised four children in Odessa, TX. Throughout her nursing career, she served in several capacities including for child welfare services and as a school nurse for the Zuni Tribe in New Mexico. In more recent years, Pat explored her creative side, becoming a student of color, light and texture in her painting and exploring different foods and processes for growing and cooking natural and nutritional foods. No matter the topic, Pat was always an avid researcher and was always learning until her last days. Throughout her life, Pat’s love and heart for Jesus gave her guidance in everything she did, and she was always an example of incredible strength and wisdom. She is survived by three daughters, Teresa (Eric) Andersen of Katy, TX; Kelly (Jim) Hatfield of Little Rock, AR; and Carla Bonner of Twin Lakes, WI, and one son, Corey (Misty) Turner of Odessa, TX, sixteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one sister, Wanda Fox of Dallas, TX, and her very dear friend, Paul Krafzig of Dewey, OK. Pat was preceded in death by her husband L. Vaughan Turner, parents, Curtis and Dora Collier, a sister Mary, a brother Don Collier, and her precious grandson Ryker Jon. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, at the Dewey Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel.
