Sharon Lynn Macias Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sharon Lynn Macias, 80, of Dewey, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, surrounded by her beloved family. Sharon was born November 1, 1941, in Blackwell, OK to Robert Perry Boals and Billie Caroline (Doyle) Boals. When Sharon was a young child, her family moved to Bartlesville where Sharon attended school. She graduated from Col-Hi in 1959. Sharon married Manuel Ramon Macias in 1969 in Pawhuska, and they raised their family in Dewey, OK. Sharon worked at Reda Pump and then Graham Rogers for many years as a data analyst. Sharon was a deep believer in God, an artist, and overall a generous, kind soul. She would paint on rocks and stones and gift them to her friends and family. She loved to paint landscapes of Mexico and images of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She was also famous among family, friends, and co-workers for her beloved salsa she would give out frequently. Sharon also spent much of her time crocheting caps to donate for newborn babies in the hospital. Sharon’s true passion wasn’t any hobby, but simply the time she spent with her family. From going to the lake to fish with her children, to weekly family card games, attending dances with Manuel, and getting everyone together for a cookout. She always devoted her time to the family she treasured dearly. Sharon’s charisma, humor, ability to understand others, and her deep love of everyone brought many branches of a large family under one roof. She was the force that brought everyone together around her, all in admiration and love for Grandma. She loved all of her family deeply and unconditionally, and would always do whatever was needed to support those around her. Sharon was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Dewey for 53 years. She served as former Parish Council President and Parish Treasurer. Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Manuel; three sons, Robbie Macias, Wesley McCammon and his wife Susan, and Bradley McCammon and his wife Sandy; a daughter, Lisa Macias; a sister, Pam Watts and her husband Richard; a brother Bob Boals; 10 grandchildren, Joe Bavetz, Dustin McCammon, Eustacia Titus, Rebecca Morton, Cameron Barnett, Blake McCammon, Katie Hudson, Danielle Calvert, Skylar Macias and Dalton Macias. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Boals. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, from 10-5, at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel, 918-333-7665, 4201 Nowata Rd, Bartlesville. A Rosary will be said at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Dewey on Wednesday, May 25, at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dewey. Interment will follow in the Dewey Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home and Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel.
