He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Veral Newport, his mother Mary (Overacker) Newport Ford and his stepfather Fern Ford. He is survived by his faithful, loving wife of 69 years Lula May Newport, children Mary Janette Schaper (Charles), who were his diligent care givers for the past seven months, of Welch, OK, Dennis LeRoy Newport (CJ) of Houston, TX, twins Ronald Martin Newport of Ochelata and Donald Daniel Newport (Rebecca) of Shepherd, MI. He is also survived by three loving sister’s; Esther Burton (Buster) of Bartlesville, Betty Hollenbeck Romine of Ochelata and Marjorie Waller Riley (CJ) of Bartlesville. He will be remembered as “Grandpa LeRoy” by 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Davis Family Funeral Home – Walker Brown Chapel, 918-333-7665, 4201 Nowata Rd, Bartlesville, OK.
