Carole Yvonne Bishop

Carole Yvonne Bishop, 77, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 25th, 2026. She lived all of her adult life in Bartlesville, OK until her last 3 ½ years when she moved to Rowlett, TX to be with her brother. Carole was born on July 11, 1949, in El Paso, TX to Marvin and Fran McDaniel. She graduated from Erick High School in Oklahoma before attending Bethany Nazarene College. From there she moved to Bartlesville, OK where she married the love of her life, Larry Bishop. Together they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage, raising a daughter and building a home filled with faith, love, and laughter. Carole retired from working for the Phillips Petroleum Company. She worked in their accounting department where she got to spend a lot of their money, which made her very happy. Outside of work, she was very involved in her church primarily in the music ministry where she sang in the choir, sang solos, and even directed a very popular Easter performance called “The Promise of Hope”. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Carole was a faithful member of the Bartlesville Church of the Nazarene for many years. In addition to working in the music ministry she worked with the youth, served many meals, helped with many events, and cared for those in need. Her greatest desire was for others to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Carole is survived by her daughter, Kristin Wilson; son-in-law Spencer Wilson; her three grandchildren, Luke Spencer, Analiece Grace, & Abbie Claire; her father Marvin McDaniel; her brother Steve McDaniel; her nephew Chad McDaniel and his family Stephanie, and their children Jude and Lucy, along with extended family members and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Bishop, her mother Fran McDaniel, and sister-in-law Cheryl McDaniel. While her family grieves her passing, they rejoice in God’s promise of eternal life with Christ for those who believe, accept, and welcome Him into their lives as their Lord and Savior. As Scripture reminds us, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.” (John 11:25) Carole’s faith in Christ, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will continue to inspire all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing they will one day be reunited with her in the presence of the Lord. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 8th at Lone Star Cowboy Church in Nevada, TX.
