Lois Pauline Price

Lois Pauline (Armstrong) Price joined her Lord on April 13, 2024. Lois was born in Wann, Oklahoma on April 19, 1930. Lois is survived by her sister Lorene (Swanson) Wilson, daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Larry Bain, her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Jan Price, five grandchildren: Tim and Careese Hallett, James and Laura Williams, Nathaniel and Hannah Bain, Phillip and Hannah Bain, Lauren Price and seven great grandchildren: Shelton and Stephanie Hallett, Sydney Hallett, Courtney Williams, Hunter Williams, Ella Bain, Noah Bain and Margot McCall. Family that preceded her in death were her husband, William Price, parents Paul and Edith Armstrong, and four brothers, Marvin, Harold, Lloyd and Robert Armstrong. Lois was a strong Christian woman who loved and lived for the Lord. She and her husband, Bill, were the “go to family” for guidance and support in all walks of life to so many people: from counseling to housing family members to financial assistance to just a shoulder to cry on or a friend to talk with. Those who knew Lois most likely have fond memories of her volunteering as a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, a Sunday School teacher, a Red Hat Lady, an excellent gardener, a gifted quilter and seamstress, a camping fan, an RV traveler, a player of Scrabble and various other card games. Lois was competitive and loved to teach others new games and was always up for a game of Chicken Foot, if you were so inclined. She graced her certain pew at the Bartlesville Bible Church each Sunday morning and evening, attended Wednesday night Bible studies, blessed all those who came to her house with homemade bread, cobblers, fresh vegetables and fruit out of her garden, and made you feel welcomed and at peace within her home. She delighted in caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, spending entire weeks at a time with each of them, playing games, having picnics, RV camping and creating crafts projects. Her family adored her. Lois never hesitated to sacrifice for others when necessary. She cared for her son when he was young with health issues, she cared for her husband after his eye accident, she cared for her daughter after 2 complicated surgeries and for Grandma Price as she suffered from cancer, She cleaned the Lenapah house, prepared “TV” dinners for Grandpa Price after Grandma passed away, helped guide relatives who needed her support, and jumped right in alongside Bill when moving kids and grandkids from one home to another. Donations may be made in honor of Lois to Journey Home, 900 Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, OK 74006 where Lois passed away peacefully with her children by her side. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19th, at Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
