Rose Ann French

Rose Ann French, 77, of Bartlesville, died Sunday, April 26, 2020 in Tulsa. Rose Ann (Axsom) French was born April 28, 1942, in Abilene, TX, to Frank Edward and Dorothy Bell (Cooper) Axsom. Shortly after her birth the family moved to Bartlesville where she attended local schools and graduated from Bartlesville College High School with the Class of 1960. She married Robert Walter French in 1960. They made their home in Bartlesville until moving in 1980 to College Station, TX, and returned to Bartlesville in 1986. Rose Ann loved her job at the Texas A&M Sports Information office and the City of Bartlesville as an Administrative Assistant in Projects and Planning. When her children were younger, they spent memorable weekends camping near Noel, MO. She loved cookouts with her family,fishing, swimming, and was a loyal Braum’s ice cream customer. Family and friends were very near and dear to her heart and she enjoyed spoiling her grandkids rotten, facetiming with them and trying to get them married off. Rose Ann had a fun and playful personality, the best laugh of anyone - and should we mention - a highlight she talked about was seeing George Strait in his Wranglers. Rose Ann is survived by her three children Tammie Davis of Bartlesville, Robert French and wife Elizabeth of Dewey, and Mark French of College Station. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Dustin Davis (Casey), Kara Penquite (Jon), Keeley Marquez, Candice Cramer, Leetta Toye (Zach), Morgan Moss, Eric French, Lilly Uriarte; and 11 great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Brynlee, Ryder, Jackson, Claire, Caitlin, Addison, Charley, Jensen, Raylee and Jacob. Also surviving are her brothers, Jim Axsom (Dorothy) of Ramona, and Mike Axsom (Pokcha) of Bartlesville. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Brayden L. Rodgers. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 10-8 at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Walker Brown Chapel, 918-333-7665, 4201 Nowata Rd, Bartlesville.
