Tina Annette Stiles

Tina Annette Stiles passed peacefully on September 11, 2023, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma surrounded by her family and closest friends. Tina was born April 24, 1965, in Ambler, Alaska. She is the daughter of Daniel Nelson and Peggy Ann (Topping) Stiles. Tina was fortunate enough to have a relationship with her Alaskan family as well, her biological parents Nancy Johnson and the late Frank Johnson Sr. Tina played basketball in school. She was quite the competitor. Tina had a smile that would light a room up and a laugh that was infectious. Tina never met a stranger. She was loved by everyone that met her. Tina graduated high school in 1983 from Ambler, Alaska. Tina was united in marriage in 1984 to the late Eugene Hensley. From this marriage, a daughter Yvonne Cherie’ Hensley was born. Later in life, Tina went on to study massage therapy. She was very successful in her career. Tina loved her career and her culture. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved going to powwows and stomp dances. Her favorite pastime was taking long drives and listening to music. And most of all she loved her grandchildren. A few fun facts about Tina are that she loved Pepsi, salmon, and Pilot Boy Crackers. Her music playlist varied from Loretta Lynn to Prince. She loved beauty products and never skimped on pampering herself. Her favorite restaurant was Cracker Barrel. And of course, she had a favorite movie, Smoke Signals. Tina will be deeply missed by so many. Tina is survived by her daughter Yvonne Cherie’ Hensley; grandchildren, Karson, Kaylee, and Kamryn Woodworth; siblings, Ben Lando Stiles and Dana, Serina Lynette McGuire, Linda Ticket and Charleston, Gertrude Ticket and Allen Jr., Harold Johnson and Amanda, Frank Johnson Jr., Christopher Johnson, and Shawn Johnson Sr; her biological mother, Nancy Johnson; nieces and nephews, Brittany McFarlane and Nick, Bradley Stiles, Danny McGuire, and Dempsey Gillman; Diné sister, Bernadette Johnson; Lenape sisters, Melissa Buck Gillman and Jimmy, and Crystal Thaxton Dombrowski and Daniel (and their daughters Minnie and Isla), and Wah Zha Zhi sister, Sheryl Gann-Hill (and her son Peter “Pot Pie” McGonigal), along with several cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Peggy Stiles; father, Frank Johnson Sr; Lenape/Sac and Fox father, Douglas “Bucky” Buck; Lenape grandmother, Bonnie Thaxton; brothers, Christopher Johnson and Dennis Johnson, and former husband, Eugene Hensley. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the Delaware Community Center, located at 5100 Tuxedo Blvd., Bartlesville, OK.
