Una Bell (Bird) Warehime

Una Bell Warehime, 88, of Dewey, joined her husband Dave and other loved ones in heaven Thursday, December 10 at Forrest Manor in Dewey. Una Bell was born the daughter of William Harvey and Iva Catherine (Black) Bird on November 1, 1927, in Copan, OK. She attended Copan schools until the family moved to Bartlesville where she continued her education at Bartlesville High School. She was united in marriage with Robert David “Dave” Warehime on January 23, 1947, in Sedan, Kansas. They had two children Jim David and Virginia Grace. Una Bell worked at Phillips Petroleum Co. in the mailroom for a few years before meeting Dave. Dave and Una Bell joined the family business owned by Dave’s father and became owners of Warehime Market on West Frank Phillips Blvd. They sold the family business in 1985 and moved to Nowata where they opened Warehime Market. She later worked at Hays House for five years before retiring to Delaware, OK. Dave preceded Una Bell in death on June 30, 1996, after nearly 50 years of marriage. She continued to live in Delaware later moving back to Bartlesville to be near her son. Una Bell loved the Lord and drew her strength from God. She was a member of the Town and Country Christian Church, she loved to sing especially the old hymns always with a smile on her face. In recent times, she always looked forward to weekly visits from her elders. She was proud of her Delaware Indian heritage and enjoyed attending powwows with her daughter Virginia. She had many hobbies which included needlework and floral design especially corsages. Dave and Una Bell always had a large vegetable garden which they shared with family and friends. Una Bell, or Bell as she was known to the littlest great grandkids, will be dearly missed. Una Bell leaves behind her son Jim David Warehime and Ginger of Bartlesville; four grandchildren, Gilbert Lee Dildine III and Charla of Shawnee, Lance David Dildine and Wendy of Broken Arrow, Amanda Warehime Kelly and Tim of Jenks, and Justin David Warehime and Meredith of Dewey; one son-in-law Gilbert Dildine Jr. of Tecumseh, Ok.; six great grandchildren, Dillon Dildine, Brenden Kelly, Lauren Kelly, Barrett Warehime, Tanner Larson and Austin Lamb; one sister-in-law Claudette Garen of St Louis; one nephew Barry Garen and Jessica of St Louis and one niece Gail Garen of Laramie, WY. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Virginia Grace Dildine on September 13, 2015 and her brother Frank Garen on December 29, 2014, Una Bell’s family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, on Wed., Dec. 16, from 6-8 p.m. Visitation without family present will be Tue. 12-8pm and Wed. 10-6pm. Funeral services will be held 2 pm on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, at the Davis Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Lanny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Ball cemetery near Childers, Nowata County. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home.
